Using our Embossing Service in your project is a great way to go the extra mile! When someone wants to add Embossing Service to their project the first thing we do is create a “die” of the portion they’d like Embossed. Embossing dies come in a two parts a die and a counter die. We then take these “dies” and, using pressure, mold the paper in the desired shape. This can include paper, carton board, laminated board, plastics, corrugated board and much more.
WHAT IS EMBOSSING?
Embossing is a process that allows us to raise the paper on our printing projects in any shape/design we wish!
EMBOSSING SERVICE PROCESS
The Embossing Process is actually pretty straight forward. It can be broken down into 3 key elements. Pressure & Counter Die, Embossing Die, Final Piece.
1. PRESSURE & COUNTER-DIE
The paper (or other substrate) and Counterdie are brought towards the Embossing Die with great force.
2. EMBOSS DIE
The paper (or other substrate) is then pressed between the embossing die and the counterdie which forces the paper to take the form of the die.
Once the pressure is released the paper will have been successfully molded to the shape of the die thereby giving you your final embossed piece.
Embossing service is great for any sized piece. The largest size we run via our Embossing machines is 20″ x 26″. Although, that would be one HUGE die!
Embossing Service can be used for any volume project! There is no minimum or maximum order quantity. However many you need!
Embossing is the top notch of printing. Embossing your project is one of the best ways to give your piece a high quality look.
There is no real proofing process for Embossing. We will send you a digital representation, but if you need to see a print before we proceed a press check is always an option.
Emboss pricing is dependent on the size of the artwork being embossed, complexity and quantity of prints. With this being the case Emboss pricing can vary from affordable to very expensive.
Our Embossing Services turnaround is job dependent. Generally, turnaround time for embossing services would not be considered quick.
